Oct 10th– What a full week back from Break. This week saw the library decked out in Halloween colors with paper pumpkins, webs, and spiders. Photos coming soon. In addition the library is preparing for the coming next week of Bryn Barnard- Author and Illustrator. Bryn has been over on the Puxi campus this week and we get him on Monday. His emphasis is Middle school but will be making extensions into HS Art. To go with this Barbara and Tim have been book talking his work to the 8th Grade Science Classes. See the image below. In the library work has been going on in many fronts. We have begun our big “weed” of the non-fiction books. Already 2 carts out in 2 days. A lot more work to do, however… We have had a rush on our Kindles in that we were able to get “Blood of Olympus” for the library and the Kindles have been rushing out the door. We placed the new R. Riordan book has been eagerly awaited. On other fronts the library is gearing up for the new First Lego League season. It will begin at the end of October. More news coming about this.
