Before Google…. Who Knew – from NPR

Dec 21st — Interesting article just out from NPR, entitled “Before Google…Who Knew” (http://www.npr.org/blogs/theprotojournalist/2014/12/20/371851621/before-google-who-knew). I appreciate aim of the article, but must beg to differ.  I don’t know about your library, but the line “For the past couple of years, “librarian” has popped up on the Forbes list of Least Stressful Jobs”  does not just does not equate with my library.  School libraries, if they are what we want them to be, “one of the hubs of learning in the school” are not low stress jobs.  But thanks NPR for reminding the world that Librarians are indeed important and are key to helping students and others find that bit of information that they just can’t find by themselves… (tsb 12/21/14)

At ACAMIS 2014 with Ross Todd

In the second day of the ACAMIS 2014 Library Strand. It is great to listen and interact with other librarians from around the China area.  The info that Ross Todd has been good to hear especially in relation to how important it is for Library to be fully involved in student’s educational lives.
