The Summer has passed very quickly.  New Hires and families are here and the library will be opening up processing materials on July 30th to get ready for the new school year.  Lots of new books have arrived and the Library will work quickly to get them ready for checkout.  Most should be ready by next week.  See you in the stacks!

July 2nd – We are into July and will fly back to Shanghai in 27 days.  It has been a full summer so far but the high-light was a drop in to the Library of Congress in Washington DC last week.  Wow.  We were not able to get all the way in, but touring the outside areas and seeing the Jefferson Library was a blast.  I will get images from Barbara Boyer soon to add.  It is real fun being a Librarian.  I have been into Barnes and Noble but for just a run in.  I have yet to have a good “shopping” time.  That is coming very soon, in fact next week.

We look forward to seeing our new hires at the end of July and all returning staff and students early in August.

PS.  Make sure to take the time to read a good book. I Have!
